Dr. Ismail Mondal is a Faculty in the Dept. of Marine Science, University of Calcutta, Kolkata-700019, India. He is a Remote Sensing and GIS specialist who has experience in environmental modeling in different applications, i.e., Climate Change in UN Sustainable Gol’s in Sea Level Rise in Marine Physical, Biological, and Chemical Modelling (Storm Surge and Coastal Vulnerability), SLAMM, Forest Ecology, Carbon Sequestration (Blue Carbon) of Biomass estimation, Aerosol Dynamic and Air Quality, Agriculture, Soil, Coastal and Estuarine modeling using Remote Sensing and GIS techniques. Moreover, He has an excellent working knowledge of tools like Remote Sensing, Digital Image Processing, Geographical Information Systems, Spatial data analysis, Programming Language, and statistical analysis (Google Earth Engine, Matlab, Python, etc.).

The Mohammed Bin Rashid Space Centre, founded in 2006, is home to the UAE National Space Programme.  The Centre builds and operates earth observation satellites, offering imaging and data analysis services to clients around the world.
